Supergirl or Monster?

This genome file I got breaks every record! Although the creature file had about 380KB, the genome file was over 6MB!

I used the Genetics Editor from Chris Double to analyse it. I *think* the Genetics Kit could have had some problems with it, as the loadable amount of genes is limited. But I could be wrong there.

Anyway...

The genome contained the almost impossible amount of 168119 genes! A "normal" Norn genome consists of 811 genes. Time to use a calculator? Well, then let me give you some other numbers:

378 Appearance genes (normally, there are 5), but only the Appearance gene for "Tail" was duplicated 373 times.

396 Neuro Emitter genes. (Normal norn: 1)

812 Organs (normally, a norn has only 21 organs)

395 Brains, or Brain Organs (normally a norn needs only one brain...er..that's enough :-))

Well, I'm sure, now you think "Wow, that must be a supernorn!" So many organs and brains! The norn must survive almost everything, 'cause there are so many spare ones and it must be also terribly smart, having such a big brain! Well, let's have a closer look at it...

I imported the genome into the game and cloned it as a female norn (hence the title "Supergirl"). (Took the Eggmaker quite a while until it gave out the egg...)

First of all, she was blind. She couldn't see anything, didn't respond to me telling her "eat fruit" or other food. There may be an agent which forces norns to look at food and eat it, and maybe this agent can force her focus on food, but without "help" she doesn't eat anything, because she cannot see it.

She constantly walks to the right side of the screen. Telling also "right" when being asked, what she is currently doing. She falls off cliffs and bumps constantly in walls, cause there are some walls (or doors) on the right screen side. She doesn't open the door, she just walks into it. Injury level was quite high, when I put her into the medical chamber.

She's sterile. Without making her forcedly pregnant (by means of the DDNA bank), no chance for any offsprings. As you can see on the picture, the Hoverdoc shows no chemicals present which are needed for her fertility.

No ATP, very high level of ADP. Normally she sould be dead. Maybe she lost the "Death by low ATP" gene, but please don't ask me to find it out, cause there are .... don't know how many receptor genes I would have to go through! And I suspect her being a Highlander. But I could be wrong there.

She cannot express any feelings, when asked for. She sometimes says "tired" or "hungry for starch", but she never answered me asking her "express".

Although having Idontknowhowmany pose and gait genes, she's got difficulties walking downhill. In fact, it's almost impossible for her. Something must be really messed up there... she also slightly limps.

The game slows down a lot, when she and a few other norns are present in the game. You can export her but it's impossible to import her anew, 'cause the game won't let nornfiles in which are bigger than 200KB (I got told.).

But imho she's got very nice colours at stage adult :-)

Conclusions:

Is she now a supergirl or a monster? Well, I think it's up to you to decide. Maybe neither of them. She's not super smart or will survive everything because of her many organs and genes. But she's not a monster either, I'd say. Maybe a genome record and someone should put her on the League Table? :-)

Downloadable Mutants

They are all Docking Station Norns. Their genome is smaller than 200KB so you will be able to import and export the Norns without problems. They are all Fastagers.

Thanks:

To Quackyduck (or x2593714) for sending me that genome file. Was really fun analyzing this!

To the developers of the Genetics Editor. I think that was the ultimate test.:-)

To CL. 'Cause they still amaze me with their Creatures games and it's possibilities.
